INDIVIDUAL
Children and young people will receive care and support that is tailored to meet their specific needs. Dignity and respect -We will ensure children and young people, at care homes, are given appropriate support to help them to be independent to fulfil their potential, and to be involved in their respective local communities.
EQUALITY
Nurturing Children's Services is an inclusive organisation committed to anti-discriminatory practice. All children and young people are safeguarded and protected equally, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. Additional needs and barriers faced by minority ethnic and disabled children are recognised.
SAFETY
We will implement safeguarding measures at care homes to prevent harm to children and young people. This includes a risk assessment strategy to minimize harm during care delivery, and ensuring staff possess necessary knowledge, qualifications, experience, competence, and skills through learning opportunities.
SAFEGUARDING
Children and young people have an absolute entitlement to receive care and support without suffering any form of abuse or improper care. This includes disproportionate restraint, unnecessary or inappropriate restrictions on freedom, bullying, neglect and remain free from abuse from their peers.
COMPLAINTS
Nurturing Childrens Services will ensure staff follow complaint-handling systems to monitor and consider all complaints seriously, responding sensitively. Investigations will be comprehensive, timely, and outcomes communicated to the complainant. Learning areas will be identified, discussed, and improved.
WHISTLEBLOW
Nurturing Childrens Services robust whistleblowing policy and staff training ensure all staff, children, young people, and third parties actively report concerns, addressed promptly, and inform professional development and practice.
LEGAL
Nurturing Children's Services will ensure that it complies with regulatory standards, regulations and government guidance that underpins its services relating to children's homes in England.
STAFFING
Nurturing Children's Services will ensure that our staff comply with these essential standards through appropriate levels of support, training and supervision that is reflective, empowering, and insightful to effectively assist them in their role.
